Can I hang my sign outside?     Yes!  Cedar is one of the most durable woods available. Cedar naturally resists insects, fungi, and is moisture resistant. Cedar should last for years and years, even in the harshest climates. Plus, we apply a generous coat of a penetrating preservative oil. ( if you have us make a sign from different materials, we can discuss the proper care for your sign)

How do I mount my sign?     We know you're going to love your new sign. But, please refrain from mounting your sign. However, there are a few choices when it comes to hanging your sign. We can install eyehooks, cut in keyholes (slots) on the back of the sign, or you can simply screw your sign directly to a tree, building, post or deck railing.

Andersons... or... Anderson's ?     There's no wrong answer here. Just tell us how you want it.

Do you put a finish coat on my sign?     Yes. We apply a generous coat of a penetrating preservative oil which brings out the warm colors of the western red cedar, and helps preserve your sign for several years. You're all set to hang your sign outside, or indoors. Just like a deck or most other real wood, you'll probably want to apply a fresh coat of an preservative oil after a few years.

What are my choices for paint color on the carved areas?     Black. We hope you like black. If you insist on something other than black, we can send your sign unfinished and you're more than welcome to paint the sign any color you want.

Can I pick my own font?     Sure... As long as it's one of our favorite fonts we're already using. Check out our gallery. We use several different fonts and we're sure you'll find something you like.

What do you mean by "carved" ?     As opposed to laser burning or wood burning, our signs are carved out with a router and various router bits to get the desired look. We're not actually sitting here with a hammer and chisel. That would be too time consuming and our signs would be 10 times more expensive. The router works good.

How long does it take to get my sign?     A lot depends on you. If you respond to our emails in a timely manner with either an approval or a design change, we should be able to complete your sign in 2-3 weeks from start to finish. (depending on how busy we are too)

Can you rush my sign order?    Sure, but it'll cost you extra. We're not going to bump someone else's sign order to make time for your rush order. We'll just work harder and longer that day to get your rush job done.

How do I get my completed sign?     If you're lucky enough to live nearby, you can come pick it up. Otherwise, we'll carefully package your sign and ship it to you. Shipping charges will be added to the cost of the sign. We just charge pretty much what it costs us to ship it. (usually around $10.00 to $13.00 per sign, depending on how big your sign is)

When and How do I pay for my sign order?    We have a webstore linked on this website where you can place your order. You'll need to pay for you order when you place it.

Will I get to see what my sign will look like before you carve it?
Yes. You'll be emailed a preview image of what your sign will look like before it's made.
We'll need you to promptly respond with either an approval, or a request for any design changes you might want. (we do not send preview images until we have a paid order)

How do I place an order?  While on our website, click "order here". This will take you to our webstore where you can shop through all of personalized cedar signs and cribbage boards we offer.

Once you've decided which custom carved sign (or personalized cribbage board) you want, select your image option and hanging option. Then add your desired text into the text box, along with any special instructions that might better describe how you want your custom made sign.

Then click "add to cart".

From there you can checkout using any credit or debit card, or you can checkout using your PayPal account.

We'll be notified when you've completed your order and we'll usually acknowledge your order with an email within 24 hours.
